January 27, 2009
By

Tonight on Gun Nuts Radio we’ll be doing a fun show – talking about tips and tricks to make you a better shooter.  Breda will be talking about the differences in between training men and women, and I’ll take a look at the topic from the eyes of a competition shooter.  As always, the show goes live at 9pm Eastern time, and your call ins are always welcome.  You can join the conversation live by calling (347) 539-5436 – if you’re a firearms instructor or have experience teaching new shooters, we’d love to hear from you.  If you’re someone who has had a positive or negative experience with an instructor, or you have a question for myself or Breda, please feel free to call in.

That’s live tonight at 9pm – hear it all at www.blogtalkradio.com/gunnuts!

    Caleb,

Have you thought about contacting James Rummel of Hell in a Handbasket? I’d bet he’d have some good insights to share…

He’s more than welcome to call in and join the discussion.

Hm, if work isn’t too busy (haha) I might be able to call in … but will an Appleseed instructor get flamed? :)

As long as the advice is constrained to legit shooting information and not the “rifleman/cook” stuff, Appleseed instructors and shooters are more than welcome. This isn’t an ideology episode.

Damn, and I had a great bacon flambee recipe for the Mosin 44 shooters… :-D

(I’m hoping the shift remains calm enough for me to sneak out for a couple minutes.)

I’ll try and call in tonight. My dad taught me a rather unconvential style for shooting rifles in certain situations. I’ve seen this method taught for pistols in defensive close quarters fighting as well in old WW2 documentaries.

It’s definitely not a replacement for convential wisdom, just anothor arrow in the quiver so to speak, and it’s fun to practice.

With any luck, I’ll remain awake enough to listen in tonight.
Tired after a day with my angels, for some reason (g).
