Shocking News: The Olympic Committee hates guns

I can’t really say I’m surprised that they’re getting rid of the guns in the Pentathlon.  I suppose next the rifles in the biathlon during the Winter Olympics will be replaced with a Nerf gun.  Then back to the summer Olympics, the shotgun, pistol, and rifle events will all be replaced with coordinated Team Dart-Throwing…until the EU bans possessions of darts as “lethal ordnance”.

    Well, think of it this way – It’s one step towards laser tag being an Olympic sport.

    I’ll let you guys make up your own minds as to whether that’s a good thing or not.

    IIRC, didn’t paintball try to become an Olympic sport? Which I think is retarded, but I could have sworn I remember hearing something about that.

    Well I know they wanted to add contract bridge to the Olympics. if they also add mahjong and poker in the slots emptied by the gun events they’d have a perfect non-athletic non-sporting event line up.
