No guns in Starbucks?

So, the Brady Campaign in a desperate grab for some kind of relevance is trying to get Starbucks to ban the carrying of firearms in their stores.  Doesn’t the Brady Campaign know that a cup of Starbucks coffee by itself is more dangerous than some guns?

You know, you almost feel bad for the Brady Campaign.  They’ve had a rough year.  I mean they sent a note to Obama that said “I liek u do u liek me to check yes or no” and he checked “No”; so now they’re reduced to essentially begging a major corporation to alienate their customers.

Sucks to be you, Paul Helmke.

Since my local starbucks is inside the grocery store, how many feet will I have to keep between my shopping cart and their counter as I pas it? Hm.

If you hadn’t already made the obvious joke here, I was going to make it for you. Glad to see you’re on top of that :)

Then again, most of us don’t carry Beretta .25s.

Haaha, I think pdb got you Caleb.

Should we start a counter petition and ask Starbucks to “Click here to sign the petition to let Starbucks know that you want them to stand up for the safety of their customers and adopt a nationwide, *GUNS ALLOWED* policy in all Starbucks stores”

Come to think of it, as places to rob go, Starbucks is a pretty soft target. Despite a high credit card usage demographic theres still cash in the register and they’re not expecting it like the liqour stores are.

I dunno about that – delay the caffeine addicts next shot of the C8H10N4O2 stuff tends to make them cranky. Cranky coffee addicts are *not* your friend.

Well since your a living example that Starbuck can be useful in SD scenario. I would not be surprised if Starbucks goes for it and then I guess that means they loose me and a lot of others as customers.

Agreed. They would loose me as a customer as well,
and I buy their coffee almost every day. Every work day anyway.

According to Alphecca, Starbucks has already told them to take a hike.
