Last Night on Top Shot

Spoiler alert. If you haven’t seen the first episode of Top Shot Season 4, this post will ruin it for you.

Two dudes got sent home right off the bat for not shooting well with an M14, there was the usual “Omg we’re on top shot let’s all stay best friends forever”, I fell asleep during the team challenge which had something to do with shooting steel plates with a Ruger Vaquero, I had a short dream about flying an F-14 Tomcat with a T-Rex wearing a jetpack as my wingman, I woke up wondering why there was a man with perfect teeth yelling at two dudes on a motorcycle with an M1 carbine, remembered I had been watching Top Shot, grabbed a beer from the fridge, and when I turned around someone had gone home.

I unsuccessfully tried to get back to the dream about jetpack wearing T-Rex and F-14s, but couldn’t.

To be fair, I had to stay up until 3am to see Top Shot. I missed the first run at 10pm because I was at the bar with my friends from Tuesday Night IDPA; so by the time I made it through Top Gear (pretty good) and got to Top Shot, I was exhausted. The final challenge with two dudes in sidecars shooting the M1 Carbine seemed pretty cool. I promise that for future episodes, we’ll do proper Top Shot write-ups here on Gun Nuts.

I would like more information regarding F14s and jetpack-wearing T-Rexs.

I couldn’t believe Crag Buckland didn’t make the cut! I will naturally find myself rooting for the local guy, although I know you’re partial to the Blue Team.
And, I can’t wait to see LittleJohnson get the boot. Anyone who flaunts a “win” which was actually a tie, is a doych-nozzle.

“I couldn’t believe Crag Buckland didn’t make the cut !”
    It’s still a “TV Show” !

Did he get tossed from the “M14″ shooting ?

    Caleb,

    It’s 2012. One word: Tivo.

      Heh.

And two more words: Sleep in and watch it online the next day.

      Ok, that’s more than two…

It was a great show: lots of shooting and no drama.

Michelle Viscusi was my valentine last night.

I watched it at 1am here in MN, I had a similar dream, but it was with a a-10 warthog and a damn Honey badger. Honey badger lost. It seems that the special effects department is getting a little over the top though

I was at Greg Littlejohn’s premiere party in St Louis last night. He reloaded tha Vaquero 16 times and shot 5/6 three times during the team challenge.

You complimented American Top Gear you tosser!

  9. XPO on February 16, 2012 at 08:13

Yes TIVO. Then you can fast forward through all the “House” segments and get right to the shooting.

And if your a luddite like me they have the episode on the History channel site the next day. Likewise you can forward through the house BS, but not the breast cancer commercials.

I lauged, Colby stated it was a 200 yard target but then it looked like 50 at the most?

Less Top Shot, more Top Gear!

  13. Twinkie on February 16, 2012 at 23:16

Wait… I just realized you might be watching some inferior American copy of the world’s most popular show- Top Gear. In that case, less Top Everything.
