Fun in the snow

By
February 26, 2010

Despite the fact that there’s a 40% chance of snow for tomorrow, they are holding a bowling pins match at Marion County Fish and Game. Our Bowling Pin Shooting match will be next Saturday, February 27th at 1 pm. We will begin setup at 12:30 pm, and we’ll need help from volunteers. We will...

Bowling Pins on Saturday

By
April 22, 2009

I am stoked for the Pin Match at MCF&G on Saturday, because I 1) haven’t shot pins in forever, and 2) really need to shoot some pins. Did I mention I love shooting pins? I’ll probably bring the Para Tac-5 and shoot the whole thing minor – normally I’d bring a “real gun” but...

Speaking of shooting

By
April 7, 2009

I was cruising the Indiana Gun Owner’s forum this morning, and someone mentioned bowling pin shooting.  If I’ve said it once, I’ve said it a million times – I love pin shooting. Contrary to popular belief, a .40 will clean the pins off the table. You just have to hit them right.

February 26, 2009

There is a bowling pin match scheduled for this weekend at Marion County Fish and Game. Just in time for me, because I think I was starting to go in to shooting withdrawal with all the match cancellations that I’d had lately, I haven’t fired a round downrange since the January steel match. The...

GSG-5 vs. Bowling pin-heads

By
September 30, 2008

Winner: GSG-5.  See below for video from this previous weekend’s bowling pin shoot.  The rifle that looks so awesome and tactical is a GSG-5 from ATI, a .22 LR clone of the MP-5.  According to Tam, it was “a blast”. Like I said in “The Devil Went Down to Indy“, Pin shooting is probably...

The Devil went down to Indy

By
September 29, 2008

He was looking for some souls to steal He was in a bind because he was way behind and looking to make a deal When he came across this young man running a pistol and shooting it hot. And the devil jumped on a shooting bench and said “boy let me tell you what...

One more Pin post

By
September 26, 2008

Pin match is tomorrow at Marion County F&G.  I’m hoping that my Gun Blog 9mm comes in so I can run that tomorrow – nothing like 147 grain 9mm HP to clean pins off the table…at least until they’ve soaked up a few dozen rounds of .45 ACP, then they get kind of heavy....
