I’m back on the PowerFactor Show, and today Rick and I are talking about BUG (Back-up-Guns) for IDPA. It suddenly occurs to me that the phrase “BUG Gun” is pretty redundant, similar to ATM Machine. Anyway, here’s the episode: with bonus Kimber bashing!

Top Shot Season 3 Premieres August 9th

Top Shot: The Gauntlet

The new season of Top Shot is set to premiere on August 9th on History. Season 3 will feature some shooters that are very well known in the USPSA/Action Shooting Community. Mike Hughes is a Production GM and one of the developers of the SIRT training pistol, which is a great tool for building dry fire skills. Cliff Walsh is a name known to everyone in the shooting community, since he’s the only person to beat Jerry Miculek at the USPSA Revolver Nationals in the last jillion years.

Along with the two well know USPSA shooters, you have a great cross-section of law enforcement, military, and civilian shooters with all different types of skills. One of the shooters also happens to be one of the few people that has a challenge coin from the Triple Nickel, so the talent level this season is looking pretty good.

And just like with Season 2, Gun Nuts Radio will be providing post-elimination interviews with all the contestants the day after they’re eliminated from the show. The podcast will be live at the usual link of www.blogtalkradio.com/gunnuts and will also be featured on the Top Shot Facebook page each week. Next season I’m going to interview Colby, just wait and see. It was great to get to chat with all the guys from Season 2, and the download numbers have been absolutely spectacular. Our iTunes downloads are off the chart, clocking in on average around 20,000 per episode, smart phone downloads are around 5,000 which means that people are listening to this in their cars, and in general revenues are up and hits are climbing for Gun Nuts Radio.

I really do want to thank all the cast that have appeared on the show; we’re contacting some of them now for follow up interviews as well to get an aftermath view of what went down; I also want to thank History Channel for their support and endorsement of the podcast. The team at Gun Nuts is looking forward to doing this again for the season three cast as well!

Gun Nuts Radio will return to its regularly scheduled time slot next week with a special show from Arizona, where the team will be attending an event at Gunsite, the cradle of pistol instruction.

After talking to Ashley and then Jamie, I feel like I have a much better feel of what went down in the house between the two guys.
